Shatrughan opens geeta colony Community Centre
Former Union Minister and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, on Sunday inaugurated a multi-storied community centre with ultra-modern facilities in Geeta Colony in East Delhi. local MlA DR Harshvardhan was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Sinha lauded the efforts of Harshvardhan in initiating Polio eradication movement in the country as Health Minister of Delhi and also ensuring a Polio-free India ultimately. He also appreciated his work for the Tobacco Control movement and praised him for bringing the first legislation against smoking in public places in the country. "It was because of his efforts that the Supreme Court ordered the enactment of similar legislations in all the States of the country," Sinha added. Addressing the gathering, Vardhan reiterated his commitment to make his constituency the most developed in Delhi.
