Two people were killed in separate accidents on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway early on Wednesday morning. The first incident took place at Hero Honda Chowk flyover when a double decker bus driver lost control and hit a Tata Ace tempo from the front. The collision was so fierce that the driver was killed on the spot. The bus driver fled the post by abandoning the bus. The deceased driver has been identified as Santosh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
"We have impounded the bus and probe is underway to identify the accused driver," Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar, the investigation officer of the case said.
Meanwhile, in another incident near Hero Honda Chowk, a jeep hit a private bus from behind. The driver of the jeep who died in the accident is yet to be identified, the police said.
