Two persons were killed while three others seriously injured when a fast moving car jumped from a flyover in Ghaziabad.
Police said the two persons — identified as Gaurav and Narendra Singh, residents of Ghaziabad and Ferozabad respectively — died on the spot when their car jumped from the flyover opposite Raj Nagar at 1 am on Wednesday. The duo was going to Vijay Nagar after having dinner at a restaurant in Shastri Nagar. The speed of the car was so high that the car jumped the footpath and broke the railing of the flyover, said police.
“As we received the information, we rushed all the passengers to a nearby Sarvodaya Hospital where Gaurav and Narendra were declared brought-dead. Other passengers Naveen, Vishal and Vikky alias Vikas (driver) are recuperating in hospital and their condition was told to be out of danger,” said Ashok Sishodia the Station House Officer (SHO) Kavi Nagar Police Station.
