Two youths were crushed to death under a truck as the front tyre of their motorcycle burst and their vehicle skidded late on Sunday night in South-East Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan Area. The errant truck driver was later arrested by the police.
According to police, the incident took place around 11.45 pm near the Sarai Kale Khan bus stand. The deceased have been identified as Rajesh (29) and Aman (28). Aman was riding the bike. The two were heading back to Noida when the front tyre of their bike burst and it glided. Before the locals could react, a speeding truck mowed them down. The duo was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where they were declared brought dead. A case of rash and negligent driving causing death has been registered against the driver.
