A-15-year-old girl studying in Class VIII was allegedly raped by a 19-year-old youth after being tied up on bed in her house in Noida Sector-66 on Tuesday. Police have arrested the accused and he has been sent to the judicial custody.
The matter came into light at evening when her mother reached home and found that the door was closed from inside. She knocked the door many times but none responded from inside, the police said.
Police said that she raised an alarm. Neighbours rushed to her rescue after hearing cries for help and they broke the door and caught the accused red handed. They in turn informed the police and the accused was arrested from the spot. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is recovering from the trauma.
The victim’s mother told the police that her daughter was tied up on the bed by the accused and then raped. Police said the accused has been identified as Suraj alias sonu, a resident of Unnao district of UP and lives in Mamura village. He employed in a private company in Sector-64.
Following the incident, the police have registered an FIR against the accused under POSCO act and section 376 (Rape) in Phase-III police station. Police have sent the victim for medical examination and result in awaited. Station House officer Pankaj Pant said that the police is investigating the case. “The victim was alone at home while her parents had gone to their company in Sector-63. The accused- who lives in the same locality-was entered in her house and forcibly raped her. The victim’s statements have been recorded and the investigation is on.” SHO said.
