Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri and Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Friday flagged off 16 mechanical road sweepers and 40 water tankers to enable municipal corporations to intensify their “Swachchhta” related activities. Puri said the funds of Rs 300 crore for the vehicles have been provided under Swachh Bharat Mission. He admired the efforts of corporation saying that due to it “Swachhta” which was earlier considered as Government movement has become a people’s movement.
