The Special Task Force (STF) of South east district has arrested three persons involved in auto-lifting and theft. With their arrest police claimed to have solved 14 cases of robbery and auto-lifting in the south east area.
“The accused have been identified as Ajay alias Monu (24), Amit (24) and Ajay, (24) all residents of Sangam Vihar. The STF team gathered information about snatchers, thieves and auto-lifters through which three active thieves were nabbed by the team near Tuglakabad Fort red light. They were riding on a stolen bike when they were caught,” said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South-east district.
During sustained interrogation accused persons disclosed that they all live in a same locality in Sangam Vihar and are childhood friends.
