An 11-year-old girl was found brutally murdered and dumped in a sack in north-East Delhi's New Usmanpur area on Wednesday, said police, adding that the girl was found to be nude and tied by a rope but did not rule out sexual assault as they are awaiting the postmortem result.
According to a senior police official, the deceased has been identified as Namra, who studied in fifth standard in a Government school. Namra lived with her parents and younger brother Anam in Gautampuri lane number 13. “Namra's mother immediately called her husband Akbar and apprised him about the incident. Akbar immediately went to the New Usmanpur police station and registered a missing FIR regarding the matter. We formed teams to search the girl and started investigations. Namra's parents also searched for her the entire day,” said the police official.
