In a tragic incident, a labourer was killed and another was injured after a wall of a house collapsed in national Capital's Adarsh Nagar area.
According to a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official, the incident took place on Saturday morning. “A call was received at around 11 am regarding the incident following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot,” said the official.
“The deceased was identified as Satpal and the injured was identified as Bhanu. The two labourers were engaged in renovation work of an old house in Adarsh Nagar. The incident occurred as they were hammering the wall of the house as part of renovation,” said a senior police official.
“Satpal was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead whereas Bhanu sustained minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital after the treatment,” said the senior police official.
“We have registered a case and we have also arrested Sunil, who hired the labourers and is also the owner of the house,” said the police official.
