‘Even BJP, Cong supporters will vote for AAP’

Delhi Chief Minister on Sunday said that even the supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress will vote for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, due to the developmental works done for the public including 24-hour tap water supply, electricity subsidy, women safety, marshals, CCTV cameras by the AAP Government in the past five years.

He also announced that the Army personnel in the national Capital will be able to access the provision of free electricity and water supply.

Speaking in the Delhi Cantonment constituency on Sunday, Kejriwal said, “I am happy to share that a lots of areas which had inadequate water supply, now have abundant supply of water. A lot of areas which had no water supply earlier now receive water from the River Ganga. The installation of water pipelines in the areas which were devoid of water pipeline connections is starting in a few days, to provide adequate and 24-hour water supply to the residents.”

Adding to it, Kejriwal said, “I want to thank the army officers and soldiers for supporting us in our endeavors. You all must be aware of the provisions of the Delhi government to provide free electricity consumption up to 200 units and half rates for electricity consumption up to 400 units, but somehow army personnel could not access this free consumption scheme. Now, the army personnel will also gain access to this scheme, we have resolved this issue as well.”

Delhi CM said our efforts in the last five years have even made the opposition believe that the education and healthcare in Delhi have actually improved. “They accept that school infrastructure has been revamped, health infrastructure has improved, Mohalla Clinics are functioning well, medicines in hospitals are free, senior citizens are going for teerth-yatras,” he said.

Kejriwal said that his government has made all these efforts for everyone, including BJP supporters, Congress supporters and AAP supporters. He said, “I am everybody’s Chief Minister, and I will not discriminate on the basis of who the people are voting for. I have worked for Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians, and for people belonging to all communities. This is the kind of politics that you will witness for the first time in the nation. In the last 70 years, no other government has had the audacity to ask for votes on the basis of the work that they have done during their tenure. It is the first party which is appealing for votes on the work that it has done in Delhi in the last five years.”

Kejriwal further claimed that earlier only 58 per cent of Delhi had water pipeline connections but now 93 per cent of areas have got direct water pipeline connections.  “My second aim is to provide 24-hour water, and I have been working on planning the provision of 24-hour non-polluted tap water supply to all the residents of Delhi. We have also worked out on a plan to clean River Yamuna in the next five years. We are increasing the strength of buses in Delhi and are working to improve public transportation in Delhi, which will help to decrease pollution and traffic congestion in the city.”
