Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for allegedly “criticising and abusing” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that Kejriwal will continue to demand Covid-19 vaccines, despite the attack on him by the ruling party at the Centre.
“Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and BJP chief JP Nadda have criticised and abused Kejriwal as he has started demanding more vaccines for Delhi,” he alleged.
The BJP leaders criticise and abuse Arvind Kejriwal whenever he works for the people, he said.
“The BJP-led Central Government’s Covid-management has completely failed but its Ministers continue to attack Delhi’s CM for his relentless efforts in vaccinating each and every citizen of Delhi,” he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that the BJP leaders are making false statements to cover up the failure of the Centre in vaccine management. “At the time when the nation was reeling under the Covid cases and needed immediate help, the BJP Government was more interested in managing their image and conducting elections. And now, when Kejriwal wants to vaccinate all citizens before the emergence of the third wave, the BJP leaders instead of following suit, are making false and deplorable statements,” he added.
Explaining it further, he said that the Centre first denied medical oxygen to Delhi, forcing the AAP Government to go to court to ensure its supply. Now, the BJP leaders are making such abusive statements after the CM is demanding adequate vaccines to inoculate all citizens,” he said.
Speaking on the issue, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also said: “I believe that this is not the time to do politics but to help the States and fight corona together. This does not suit the Central Government. I appeal to the Central Government to realise that this is the time to fight Corona together as Team India.”
