US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has lashed out at Russia alleging that the country is using political, economic, and military tools to “undermine” the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighbouring countries.
Carter said this yesterday at a luncheon hosted by the Association of the US Army Sustaining Member. “Russia has used political, economic, and military tools to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighbouring countries, flouted international legal norms, and destabilised the European security order by attempting to annex Crimea and continuing to fuel further violence in eastern Ukraine,” Carter claimed.
