A Pakistani court has barred the Government from deporting the Indian husband of a woman who contended that their children would be deprived of a father if he is sent back.
Rabia Jahangir filed a petition in the lahore High Court yesterday, saying she married Indian national Zafar Riaz in 2005 and they had two children.
Authorities have refused to extend Riaz’s visa and directed him to leave Pakistan by December 14.
Jahangir said if her husband was not allowed to live with his family in Pakistan, their marriage would be in danger and the children would be deprived of their father.
