The Pakistan Government on Wednesday condemned as “violation of its sovereignty” US drone strikes which left 10 people dead in the country’s tribal region of North Waziristan.
Pakistan regards such strikes as a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, Radio Pakistan quoted the country’s Foreign Office spokesperson as saying in the evening.
The official also said that Pakistan believes with a decisive action being taken against terrorist elements in North Waziristan, there is no need for such strikes. “We, therefore, urge for a cessation of such strikes.”
