A small-time actress from Texas has been arrested by the FBI for sending poisonous ricin-laced letters to US President Barack Obama and the New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Shannon Richardson, 35, also known as Shannon Guess and Shannon Rogers, was arrested on Friday on charges of mailing a threatening letter to Obama.
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in federal prison. According to the arrest affidavit, on May 20, Richardson is alleged to have mailed 3 letters containing the toxin ricin.
