One of the most followed comedians in India, a comedian to whom people look up for life lessons and an understanding of humanity, Zakir Khan, on Sunday became a part of the golden books and scripted history at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA. He became the first Indian to perform a hindi comedy show at iconic Madison Square Garden. With a sold-out arena of more than 15,000 seats, the show was a hit and received a standing ovation from the audience present. The Indian diaspora turned up in humongous numbers to show their support for the beloved comedian. Times Square was left with a chakka jam (a road blockade or traffic jam). The entertainment industry came in support of the comedian and showered him with love, creating history on their respective social media platforms.
To celebrate the moment and happiness Zakir also made a video call to his parents standing on the stage at the MSG.
Comedian Rahul Dua, sharing Zakir Khan’s reel, wrote, “No words!! This is insane, this is magical. This one is for the books. Dil jeet liya, jahaan jeet liya. Boht boht mubarak Zakir bhai.” Harsh Gujral wrote, “Bade sapne dekhna aur unhe pura karna ye zakir bhai ka style hai, hum Times Square me tehel kar khush hore the bhai ne chakka jaam karva dia tha kal pura NY city me.”
Adding to his praise were Gajraj Rao, Munawar Faruqui, Ranveer Brar, Munmun Dutta, Aakash Gupta, Saurabh Diwedi and more.
