Arjun, Rakul to star in a family drama

Actors Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh will team up for the first time for an untitled family dramedy.

Kaashvie Nair, who had earlier assisted filmmaker Nikkhil Advani on his sports-drama Patiala House and the 2013 action thriller D-Day, will be making her feature film debut as a director with this forthcoming film.

“I have grown up in a joint family, so I understood that it's the biggest pillar of love, strength and support. That's the essence of our film, which has its heart in the right place. I'm having a blast even during the prep,” said Arjun.

‘I feel there is an immense amount of talent in our country and people have the ability to create original music. I have heard compositions of so many young musicians and it's really good. So I feel we should definitely stand for original music. We can always go back in the past to learn from it and to refer to it when needed.’

Actor Urvashi Rautela has expressed her eagerness to play the famous Olympian PT Usha in a film on her life.

“Not many people know I am an athlete. I am a national basketball champion. I am a sportsperson so I think no one can be a better choice than me for PT Usha’s role. I have been a racer. I have participated in and won many races. So, I think I will fit in any sports biopic. Also, even filmmakers will not have to put a lot of time to train me,” Urvashi said.

Urvashi is currently promoting her comedy film Pagalpanti.
