Knew I had to work hard: Katrina
Actress Katrina Kaif says she always knew that she would have to put in a lot of effort to make a place for herself in Bollywood.
“Despite a dud debut in the 2003 crossover film Boom, Katrina made her mark with her distinct screen presence in films such as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, New York, Zero and Bharat.
“Zero, according to me, is a film that encourages people to look beyond what holds them back and live a fulfilling life that they always dreamt of. I consider this film close to me because it talks about the passion that everyone should have in their life,” she said.
‘Preethi’s (in Kabir Singh) character is shy, demure, and the complete opposite of me. But I also saw her strength, conviction, her love and passion and couldn’t help but feel for the love story. Kabir, aka Shahid (Kapoor), my confidant and friend through this journey has also completed and made this story possible, real and believable. Couldn’t have been luckier to work together on this film.’

Actor Rajpal Yadav has joined the cast of David Dhawan’s remake of Coolie No 1, which also stars actors Varun Dhawan with Sara Ali Khan.
“I’m thankful to David sir for giving me an opportunity to be part of the remake. It’s the third time that I’ll be sharing screen space with Varun. I am really excited,” said Rajpal.
The two actors had earlier worked on Judwaa 2 and Main Tera Hero.
“Ram Gopalji’s Jungle established me as an actor, Hungama made me popular and David sir re-established me with Judwaa 2. I am grateful for this opportunity,” said he.
Prince George turns 6
Kensington Palace has released three new photographs before Prince George’s birthday.
The future king turned 6. It’s become a tradition for the palace to release snapshots taken by his mother Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
In two of the pictures George is seen with a big smile as he wears an English soccer jersey. The third shows him on a family holiday.
George is a great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. He is third in line for the throne behind his grandfather Prince Charles and his father Prince William and is the oldest of William’s three children.
