‘Cinema is about common man’
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana says that he gets driven by relatable, real people and stories.
The actor, who has represented the common man in most of his films, will be playing the role of a cop, in Article 15.
He says, “Cinema is about common man and relatability. I resonate with them because I am one of them. Having had a middle-class upbringing, our journeys are similar. I have seen different taboos and thoughts, have met quirky and mad people, gotten inspired by people and events. It gives me good references to put across in my films.”
‘I am elated with the news of the film Kaabil getting released in China. The film has been a special one for me and I am glad that it is still travelling across and finding a new audience and more love. I am currently shooting for Bala, but will be flying to China to Hrithik (Roshan) for the film’s release.’

Actors Aparshakti Khurrana and Sargun Mehta will be seen in a single Kudiye Ni, which will mark the directorial debut for writer and sister-in-law Tahira Kashyap.
The song is composed, written and sung by Aparskahti himself and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T series. A source revealed, “Kudiye Ni was composed in five minutes in Apar’s vanity van when he was shooting for Dangal in the capital. It’s a simple song. The song was shot in Chandigarh over two days.”
The song releases next week.
Hugh, Kidman not allowed to shoot
Actors Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman were stopped from filming in the exclusive enclave of Shelter Island by the picky locals.
HBO executives wanted to film the new series, The Undoing, starring Grant and Kidman, on the Hamptons island that has just 2,500 residents. But when location scout Linda Perkins appealed to the town council for permission to film for three days in May, she was met by grumpy faces.
A source said, “Gary Gerth, the town supervisor was the only one excited. But others were worried about noise from helicopters and the late-night filming causing disruption.”
