Actress Supriya Pilgaonkar says she wants to play a negative role
Supriya Pilgaonkar, famous as the loving small screen mother-in law, was last seen in Sasural Genda Phool. She is returning once more, to fill a role that has become her forte.
Pilgaonkar will be playing the mother-in-law in Meri Bhabhi. The veteran told us she grew up watching I love lucy and Here’s lucy, and wanted to do similar roles.
“I am at an age where I can play such roles, but they are not being made. I am only offered the part of mother-in-law. I perform what people expect. So I end up being a saas. It is difficult to go through an image makeover on TV,” she laughed. She said she would love to do a negative role, “but nobody offers me that.”
The actress added that now she wants to do more films.
