With a view to spread awareness among students and the public at large about the dangers of metallic manjha and of flying kites near electrical installations and electrical wires, the Tata Power Delhi Distribution has launched a massive awareness campaign in North and North West Delhi.
Under this drive, Tata Power DDl’s CSR and Safety Department’s officials are engaging with students at their schools, organising several nukkad nataks and distributing 7,000 leaflets. Commenting on the initiative, Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power-DDl, said, “As a responsible power distribution company, we take care of the safety measures required for an uninterrupted power supply and also reach out to consumers and public at large for mass awareness on electrical safety. Our sensitisation drive related to kite-flying and of unsafe metallic manjha is a step in the same direction.”
