The young and the talented twosome — Rahul Mishra and Debarun — will showcase their expertise for the first time at the Amazon India Couture Week 2015
This fashion season will witness the best of young fashion design talents taking over the runway as three debutant designers — Rahul Mishra, Rimple and Harpreet Narula and Debarun mark their debut at Amazon India Couture Week 2015.
Rahul Mishra is a staunch believer in integrating the rich heritage of Indian craft with the constantly varying pulse of global fashion. His forte is to blend the rustic-ness of Indian art and craft, and the earthiness of handloom textiles with the fineness of urban fashion.
Known for their exclusive “statement” ethnic and bridal wear and chic western pret; Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s take on the design process is intuitive while an out of the box approach to colours and fabrics gives their creations a singular vocabulary- elegant, experimental, and dramatic. The duo will be presented by Preciosa, the world’s top supplier of the highest quality machine-cut Czech crystal components.
Kolkata-based designer Debarun Mukherjee will launch his debut bridal-festive 2015 collection in association with Indian wear label ‘Heroine’. In his debut couture collection, Debarun takes a modern interpretation of Bollywood styles of various decades- from the 1940’s to the current times.An interesting interplay of colours fused with timeless silhouttes, fabrics and embroidery and an interesting lay of sets, production and the music will add to the runway drama.The collection traverses through black and white, sepia, psychedelic, pastels, romantic, and tone on tone colours reflecting the eras while keeping the silhouettes modern and contemporary.
Spanning five days, India Couture Week 2015, will be held from July 29 to August 2, 2015 at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi. A luxurious event that celebrates Indian heritage with modern-day inspiration brought to you by an impressive line-up of fashion talent.
Rahul Mishra will showcase his collection on Tuesday, July 30, 2015 and Rimple & Harpreet Narula, followed by Debarun will present on August 1 at Amazon India Couture Week 2015 in association with Sunar.
