Every year National Science Day is celebrated across the nation to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir CV Raman, a milestone in the realm of science that won him the Nobel Prize. SRM University- AP celebrated the event in collaboration with South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA) under the 2022 theme ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future’.
An array of programmes -— including a science exhibition, laboratory visit, and quiz competition — were also organised. Nearly 400 students from various schools in and around the city of Guntur and Vijayawada actively participated in the events. Special talks on the works of Nobel laureates of Physics, 2021 shed light on latest research practices and developments.
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof V S Rao, vice-chancellor.
