Sachin Pilot, Minister of State (I/C) for Corporate Affairs layed the foundation stone for Centre of Excellence, Ajmer, Rajasthan — jointly promoted by ICAI, ICSI and ICoAI.
Pilot also laid the foundation stone for Centre of Excellence at Maharana Pratap Nagar Scheme, Ajmer, Rajasthan. While congratulating the three institutes on this initiative, Pilot said that the Centre of Excellence will focus on training programmes, professional development activities, investor protection activities for professionals and will be a single point of convergence and knowledge hub for researchers, students , professionals and academicians.
“I believe you will now jointly build a centre of excellence at national level which will be pride of Ajmer. For me Ajmer is a holy and lucky place in addition to its historic and religious sanctity. That is why I felt it will be a good place for Centre of Excellence and I trust it will be the best centre of the country in years to come,” he said. The foundation stone for Centre of Excellence, Ajmer was laid in the presence of CA Subodh Kr Agrawal, president ICAI. N Ananthasubramanian, president ICSI and Suresh Chandra Mohanty, president ICoAI.
The Centre of Excellence will focus at creating a knowledge hub, organising of programmes aimed at capacity building through financial, literacy and accounting education for the benefit of local population, student activities, members activities, professional development activities, workshops and seminars, conducting research and outreach programmes on investors education and protection, corporate governance and the best practices globally followed in the areas of accounting, cost management, corporate governance etc and other activities in furtherance of the professions of the “professional institutes”.
