The lead pair of Meri Bhabhi, Kanchi Kaul and Esha Kansara, talk about being best friends, on and off screen

Following the tradition of creating characters who denote a change in modern families, Star Plus' new show, Meri Bhabhi, reveals a bonding between sisters-in-law. A relationship that is often ignored. The show, which goes on air from June 15, to replace MasterChef India, highlights a bond between the two.

The lead pair played by Kanchi Kaul, who makes a comeback on the small screen after marriage, and Esha Kansara, shared that for a change, they will not feature evil characters. In it, Esha helps her husband's sister, who due to various circumstances, returns to her father's place, overcomes problems and faces difficult situations. “In every family there are bad circumstances. Those days are passe when sisters-in-law didn’t bond,” said Esha. Kanchi said the show was ideal for a comeback. “I related to the character and loved the change. We haven't had any show based on the nand-bhabhi bond earlier on TV,” she said Kanchi. The two blended well on the sets and their real life chemistry did wonders to their performance.
