I KAUR accompanied the three finalists of MasterChef India season three — NAVNEET RASTOGI, DOYEl SARANGI and RIPUDAMAN HANDA — to Ajmer Sharif dargah, where the contestants prayed for their success
The three finalists of MasterChef India Kitchen ke Superstar have already proved their mettle to the janta and the judges.
They know that apart from the talent what would make them win the show is the love and blessings from the fans and the almighty. So the three — Navneet Rastogi, Doyel Sarangi and Ripudaman Handa — visited the Ajmer Sharif dargah to seek blessings from the lord.
A visit to the dargah is already like a norm among Bollywood celebs and it seems that TV too is turning to the shrine for success.
Navneet Rastogi said, “I will pray that all three of us win because all of us are equally good. I’ve reached here and that in itself is big enough.”
The trio began their day at Ajmer by cooking a form of sweet rice called zarda. It was an offering carried to the dargah.
A gym trainer by profession, Ripudaman Handa, said his fate is now in public hands.
“I feel pressurised and every step needs concentration. Winning is not the goal but I want to emerge as a brilliant chef. This show has taught him a lot. I want to go for higher studies to California and write my own book,” he shared.
Navneet said, “Karam karte jaao, phal ki chinta mat karo,”
(Do your deed, do not think of the result). He also called himself meethe ka badshah and said he would specialise in desserts.
The three are already stars for the public. They were crowded at the dargah but they managed to offer prayers without any problems.
Doyel, a housewife from Bengal had simple dreams and said, “I want to create an atmosphere in Bengal where women are not limited to cooking in their households. A visit to the dargah means a lot to me. I would only pray that if I win I am able to hold workshops and create awareness on cooking.”
The finale will be aired on June 14 at 8 pm on Star Plus.
