The SDMC is undertaking the beautification, redevelopment and transformation of its eight major market complexes. Thousands of people visit these markets every day. The markets were not being redeveloped as per an approved plan during last few year. The SDMC initiated beautification in these markets and transformation of one of the major market complex at PVR Vikas Puri is almost complete. As stated by the Engineering department the transformation of other seven major markets is in full swing. The SDMC has been redeveloping these markets with an aim to redevelop the markets to provide convenient and advanced shopping centers for the purchasers close to their place of residence so that they are not forced to visit malls situated at far off places.
