The SDMC Mayor Shyam Sharma launched a new call centre for grievance redressal system for lodging complaints on issues pertaining to the SDMC amenities like sanitation, water logging, removal of dead animals and removal of silt from the roads, non-functional street lights and un-cleaned toilets. Sharma dialled the toll free number 1800111140 to register a complaint in the presence of the Chairman Standing Committee Shalinder Singh Monti, leader of House Subhash Arya, a few councillors, commissioner Dr. P.K. Goel, Additional Commissioner Ram Mohan Singh and other senior officers.
Speaking on this occasion he stated that the new call centre is manned by the experienced professionals, supervisors and data entry operators in sufficient number in order to expedite the grievance redressal and make the system quick and reliable. Sharma added that the SDMC had been keen to establish a well oiled mechanism for redressal of grievances related to its amenities. The complaints lodged by the citizens will be forwarded to the concerned official of the SDMC and a token number will be generated which will be communicated to the complainant instantly. The status of the grievance will be shown to the complaint on logging on the grievance portal and entering the token number communicated by SDMC. The facility for citizen to call at the call centre to check their status shall also be available. The applicant will again be communicated immediately after redressal of grievance.
The call centre is located in the centralised place and the status of the complaint can be checked by the senior officials at any point of time. The call centre will function on all seven days of the week from 9 am to 5.30 pm. Further the system will be monitored at the highest level.
