Arunendra Kumar, chairman, Railway Board inaugurated the improved guard-friendly van of goods train and the state-of-the-art accident relief medical van during his recent visit of the lower Parel workshop of WR in the presence of Hemant Kumar, general manager, Western Railway, SK Sood, GM, Central Railway, Ravindra Gupta, chief mechanical engineer of Western Railway, Shailendra Kumar, DRM, Mumbai Central Division, Surbhit Mathur, chief workshop manager of lower Parel workshop along with other senior railway officers and staff.
The state-of-the-art accident relief medical van will help in providing immediate first aid medical attention to the affected people in case of unusual/accidents at the site. For the first time, the lighting system has been provided in the guard cabin of the goods train by the use of eco-friendly solar system though which lED lights and fans will be run.
