Multi disciplinary training center, Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat and Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), New Delhi had organised an entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) on solar energy in Gurgaon.
The training programme was designed for professionals who are looking at demystifying the business, finance, technology and regulatory landscape of solar energy. The focus of the training was to provide major information necessary to enter the business of solar energy along with excellent networking opportunities. Information regarding national solar mission, Government and State policies, fundamentals of solar photovoltaic, system designing, operation and maintenance of PV system, business modal in rural and urban areas, et al. were provided to the trainees in this three-day training programme. The course was conducted in a workshop mode (participative) and each session was built upon the other.
There were a total of 24 people who participated in the training programme. The objective of this programme was to equip people with the required knowledge on solar energy so that they may get financial and technical support for setting up manufacturing or service enterprises under the KVIC’s flagship programme Prime Minister employment generation programme which aims to provide employment to skilled entrepreneurs and at the same time generate green energy.
