Eight engineering students selected under the Utkarsh scheme were handed over scholarships to the tune of Rs 36,000 each for the second consecutive academic year by Prakash Tiwari, GM (I/c) at the Republic Day function at Korba.
The scheme was launched under CSR in the year 2013 to help students of under privileged communities pursue engineering and medicine. Speaking on the occasion, Tiwari reiterated the commitment of the power station in enriching its peripheri and the communities.
