Sensuous beauty Malaika Arora Khan says the newly launched fashion portal she is associated with is not a copy of the international website, Asos. By K Bhardwaj

For Malaika Arora Khan, Delhi is a city that she always wanted to explore, but never got to.

So when UTV Stars’ show Stars In Your City gave her options to pick one place she would like to visit, she replied, “Delhi is very dynamic. There is much to explore. I have only been coming for work. Through this show, I will get an opportunity to spend an entire day here. I look forward to have good food and meeting well-wishers,” she told us.

The UTV’s show takes celebrities to different cities, allows them to meet fans and indulge in fun activities. Khan, who is known for popular item numbers like Munni, Anarkali, Chaiyya Chaiyya and others, quipped that admirers often grab her, to know her fitness formula.

“There are basic questions which everyone wants to know from me. They would ask my fitness mantra and the well being of Salman Khan. Then remember to ask about Arbaaz Khan too!” she laughed.

“I manage to stay fit because I am conscious about diet. There is no secret. I tell everyone to follow a healthy lifestyle. I don’t even gym regularly,” Arora said.

The 39-year-old is currently promoting a fashion label called The Closet owned by the Corp who created the content, which the actress selects from.

“I just launched it. The clothes are trendy, cool and affordable. Our collections can be worn by anyone,” she said. Why associate with thisIJ “Over the years, people appreciated my fashion sense. I have long been asked to start something on these lines. So I chose this online platform. Online shopping is a big craze. Many people I know shop through internet portals only,” she asserted. Responding to reports of Katrina Kaif calling the site a copy of the international fashion website Asos, Khan commented, “No! It’s not a copy of any website. These are my personal picks. If it manages to get the recognition and business like Asos, I would be the happiest person.”

Refusing to divulge details about the Dabangg franchise, the Munni girl said, “If it has to be done, it will be done. We are busy producing another movie. I am also engaged with my The Closet and managing my home. I am a multi-taker and enjoying doing different things.”

She urged the media to be careful while reporting on sensitive issues like Jiah Khan’s suicide.

“She was very young. I am disheartened. Media reported several reasons that forced her to take her life. I think only she knows what she was going through, that forced this extreme step. There are pressures in every field. Bollywood is no different.”

For the Delhi show, Khan met five fans and made lassi. “I drink only milk products, but never made this before traditionally,” she stated.
