Indrajit Bose has taken over as IndianOil’s executive director, corporate communications and branding, heading the communications and branding activities of the marketing division. Besides internal and external communications, his area of responsibility includes brand management of IndianOil’s 10 major brands. A chemical engineer from Jadavpur University, Bose started his career with IndianOil in 1981 as a sales engineer after a brief stint as project engineer in UHDE Gmbh, a caustic soda plant specialist. In his initial 18 years with IndianOil, he took on increasing responsibilities in the sphere of lubes retailing, serving the eastern markets of Raipur, Guwahati, Dhandbad and Kolkata, where with his technical expertise he made a mark for himself. As a key member in the initial days of IndianOil's lubricant business, he made significant contribution to the imposing growth of SERVO brand of lubricants, which is a highly valued super brand today.
