The cleanliness work of the Okhla station is maintained with the help of five safai karamchari posted under SS/Okhla. Apart from this SS has been provided a cleanliness imprest of Rs20,000 to be utilised in the case of emergency.

The major hurdle to development of circulating area lies in pucca encroachment in the shape of 800 dwelling units and 400 encroachments in the station premises adjacent to the staff quarters. These encroachments are existing since 1981 so these can be removed under Rehabilitation and Resettlement policy of Delhi Government. These encroachments in the area are a continuous source of nuisance in the shape of garbage being generated and subsequently being thrown in the station premises.
