Sitting tight in his chair, voicing support for the students of Pune-based FTII over chairman appointment rift, was actor Ranbir Kapoor. Video titled ‘FTII in conversation with Ranbir Kapoor' was uploaded on YouTube a few days back.
Calling FTII “a premier institute in India that has created many filmmakers and award-winning personalities”, the Rockstar actor said that the students deserve a fair hearing and need an inspirational figure they can look up to.
He also spoke on institutional autonomy and “there needs to be a dialogue between the governing council and students”.
“I don't think what the students are asking for is illogical, all they are asking for is a fair chance and an opportunity and I really do pray that an institute that we all are so proud of, shouldn’t be a disappointment for students, he further added.
We also nod in agreement.
