Sab TV’s Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hain shows a family of aliens looking for the lost member on the planet. Pallavi Gupta joins the the search operation
What if an alien family lands on earth to find its lost sonIJ We would not think in scientific terms but expect loads of laughter as this family takes the charge in Sab TV’s new show Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hain. The show, produced by Hatsoff Production, captures the moral struggle of an alien family to fit into norms of the humans’ society and how they come across funny incidents with people out here. Sumeet Raghavan, Tanaaz Irani and Bakhtiyar Irani will be seen playing lead roles.
JD Majethia from the production house informs, “When you are struck with the thought that you want to do something out-of-the-world and exceptionally new, then you think at a different level. And this is what has happened with Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hain. All concepts of comedy have been tried on television from Taarak Mahta ka Ulta Chasma to Comedy Nights with Kapil and these shows have had a foothold on the Indian masses making them laugh out loud. We are trying to enter the space which has been untapped in this genre with this show.”
The show has a clash of supernatural power of aliens and the human power of emotions. Aatish Kapadia, director of the show says, “We find aliens dramatically different from us. But we forget that we would appear equally alien to those people. This show is about the beauty of adapting to diversity and the comedy and sensitivity that springs out of it. It’s a fresh concept and will definitely appeal to Indian audience.”
The aliens crashing on the planet is a family of five. JD says, “Indian audience needs a family-oriented drama. A reality comedy show like Kapil’s also needs a family to associate the fun to, so the magic which a family creates on small screen overpowers the charm of what one single lost alien would do.”
The show is an attempt to bring newness on the table. “We see technological advancement in every aspect of our lives but our television has remained detached from this advancement. Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai has the usage special effects to entice the audience,” said JD. With the looks in the trailers, the aliens do seem all set to entertain masses.
