After an overwhelming response to the journeys of Jodha Akbar and Jhansi ki Rani, Zee TV recently introduced viewers to the historical magnum opus of 2021 as it presents the untold story of one of the most iconic women of the Maratha empire — Kashibai Bajirao Ballal. The show went on air recently and has won the audience's hearts. The audience is in for some high-end drama with Kashibai and Bajirao’s wedding being showcased in the forthcoming episodes.
Viewers will witness how Bajirao is all set to get married to Kashi and accept her as his responsibility, but it gets called off due to some reason. At the same time, Kashibai gets kidnapped, and after struggling to find her, Bajirao saves Kashibai. After seeing his heroics, Kashi's mother Bhawani Bai (Hetal Yadav) approach the Ballals for Bajirao and Kashibai's marriage, and they agree. The two get married in a beautiful Maratha wedding.
As Aarohi Patel revealed, “It is not easy to shoot for a wedding sequence, especially when you have to pull off such a heavy saree and jewellery. Being a Gujarati girl, I have also never witnessed a Maratha wedding like this. It was so different from the typical Gujarati weddings, but I enjoyed it a lot. It's great to be able to live and experience a Maratha wedding through my show. Having said that, I want to mention that I am happy that at a young age, I am getting to live such an epic character and the traditions of the 18th century.”
