The actor stressed that youth not to be afraid of failure. “It is only failure which tells you the true meaning of success. It is an external force depending on your responses and decisions. Experience comes from wrong decisions which eventually lead to failure and new lessons. For instance, I bought a cricket team but it misfired initially. I realised my mistakes, and hired a proper team of professionals. Finally we emerged as winners. So always acknowledge your mistakes and be ready to learn. If you don’t know something, say it clearly and try to learn it,” he said.

Due to lack of money, we were displaced from our house. I did whatever came my way. Films like Deewana, Chamatkar, Darrwere the ones rejected by other stars. I did them because I wanted money to survive,” he said. The actor shared that he valued the hard-earned money and was always scared to loose what he possessed.
“I don’t want to lose… I am scared of not making it big. So I work hard to retain what I have earned. Even today, I keep working all the time. My family sometimes asks me why I work so much and I tell them that I want to be the best,” he said. Once Shah Rukh was chatting with Dilip Kumar, he recalled, and he asked the thespian why he agreed to do Devdas. “After thinking for a while…Dilip sahab said he was offered over Rs 1 lakh. So money is important for everybody,” he said.
