A 1,900-kg capacity metal-cutting gas plant, set up at BHEL’s Bhopal unit, was inaugurated on Wednesday by Dr AR Sihag, secretary, Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India. Dr Nalin Shinghal, chairman and managing director, BHEL, Amit Varadan, joint secretary, DHI and DK Thakur, executive director, BHEL, Bhopal, and other senior officials of BHEL were also present. Significantly, this plant, which is installed at the Gas & Power Plant Division in the unit, is the first industrial set-up for metal-cutting in this capacity range.
Oriental bank of Commerce was presented with a cheque of Rs 1.41 crore as a reward towards issuance of RuPay Platinum cards in FY17-18 and FY18-19 from NPCI. The bank is among the top issuers of RuPay Platinum Cards in the industry. This reward was handed over by NPCI officials to Balakrishna Alse S, executive director. Kuldeep Bhalla, general manager, Digital Banking Department, and Ram Janam Verma, deputy general manager, Digital Banking Department.
