Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organised a Jewellers’ Awareness Programme in Delhi which was attended by around 80 jewellers from different parts of Delhi. The jewellers were made aware about hallmarking scheme in detail and benefits of obtaining the hallmarking licence. Jewellers present at the programme, actively participated in open house discussion and explained their problems and doubts to the BIS officials with respect to hallmarking scheme. BIS officials addressed the doubts and queries raised by the jewellers. The jewellers assured BIS Officials to obtain hallmarking licences.
