The prestigious pageant has been instrumental in re-inventing the definition of beauty and fashion and setting new milestones each year. Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2016 is a 7 part reality tele-series and will be aired on Colors Infinity, India's Premier English Entertainment channel. With lara Dutta as the mentor, the search has begun.
The much awaited auditions were held at Shangri-la's Eros Hotel. The event was judged by Bollywood star Neha Dhupia and ace designer Shantanu from the duo Shantanu and Nikhil. The judges were seen joking with the media.
Speaking to media about the contestants, Dhupia said, "It takes a huge amount of courage to think of joining the beauty pageant and I am not speaking on the behalf of girls but I am speaking on the behalf of everything that I have experienced as well". She continued and said standing in front of strangers who are apparently judging you on the way you look and your personality. It's almost a battle field and you have to come out strong and courageous and win the battle and that's what makes these girls special already.
The countrywide auditions traversed through the length and breadth of the nation to bring the best from other cities and the finale will take place at Mumbai. Seven selected finalists from Delhi will go to Mumbai for the final round and the winner of Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva - Miss Universe India 2016 will proudly represent India at Miss Universe later this year.
