Apple AirPods finally hit the market
After unexpected delays, the Apple AirPods are finally up for purchase in over 100 countries including India. AirPods are in-ear Bluetooth earphones and pair with Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Macs and even Apple Watch and were unveiled in September along with the new iPhones. As it is using a common Bluetooth standard, it would work with Android devices as well. The AirPods offer 5 hours of running time and they come in a charging case which promises 24 hours of listening time. The AirPods are expected to go on sale in India in the coming weeks at Rs15400. They are priced at $159 in the US. AirPods require Apple devices running the latest version of iOS 10, watchOS 3 or macOS Sierra.
Amazon Prime Video service goes live in India
looks like Netflix finally has some competition in India as Amazon has launched its video on demand service in India. Currently membership to the video service is priced at Rs499/year and is free for Amazon Prime users. The catalogue includes recently released movies such as Kabali, Sultan, Baar Baar Dekho and users can stream Indian and international TV shows and movies along with Amazon Original Series. The service is available on both the Android and iOS through the Amazon Prime Video app.
lenovo Yoga Book launched in India for Rs49,990
lenovo launched the Yoga Book back in September at IFA in Berlin and the device is finally making its way to India shores. The Yoga Book is an interesting device and combines a 10 inch display with a halo keyboard which transforms into a notepad with a special stylus. Specs include a quad-core Intel Atom processor, 4GB of RAM. Only the Windows version of the Yoga Book has been launched and the Android version is expected to be launched later. The 2-in-1 is priced at Rs49,990 and will be exclusively sold on Flipkart.
