Vivacity

For the bold and suave

Arjun Kapoor, who starts shooting for director R Balki’s next project with Kareena Kapoor next month, was recently in town to share some grooming ideas with the Dilli boys.
While preparing himself for his acting debut, actor Arjun Kapoor sought actress Katrina Kaif’s, who also happens to be his good friend, help to fix his thick and bushy eyebrows. After a session of intense eyebrow plucking, the result wasn’t so pleasing but his eyebrows were surely on fleek.

“She shaped them like a girl would so that was a faux pas that I made. I couldn’t show my face for the next couple of days,” Arjun recalled during the launch of Philips Bodygroom series 1000 which include devices for trimming and shaving excess body hair in a “painless and a skin-friendly manner.”
Speaking on how women have more solutions and products available for body grooming than men, Kapoor shared, “Men want solutions but we don’t have them. I’ve made many mistakes but then I learnt from them.

I tried creams and waxing which hurt way too much. Every other guy has made these blunders which were not at all convenient or practical. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world and pick products like the new Philips series. But now it is here and is the one stop shop to all the conversations which we tend to not have or even if we have then there have been no answers to it.”

The actor who was last seen in Tevar believes that actor Saif Ali Khan and former footballer David Beckham are the most stylish men. “Saif looks great in both formal and casual wear. He looks suave and simple at the same time,” he shared.

Kapoor, who looked dapper in his Ashish N Soni outfit and sleek mohawked hair, said that nobody apart from you can be the best style and grooming advice-giver. “It something very intimate and personal but my mother also helped me with the grooming tips. It was my grandfather who taught me to shave and since I’ve had a very open house and I could easily approach my uncles as well,” he told us. “It is all about hygiene,” he added.

“The idea is to take care of yourself, to make sure that you are comfortable while working long hours and that those around you are also comfortable. A man would feel more confident if he’s not sweating all the time or feeling unkempt. Every woman appreciates a man who takes care of himself.”
The Ishaqzaade star, who will be seen in R Balki’s next film, which is yet to be announced, said he is elated to work with Kareena Kapoor.

“I’m very excited to work with her. I’ve always loved her as an actor and as a person and I’ve known her for many years. The film for me is a new challenge. I’ll not say much since I feel the director and the producer should speak about it first,” he said.
