Mana Shetty was here for a fund-raiser exhibition. She spoke to Karan Bhardwaj about managing work and home successfully

The moment you start chatting with her, Mana Shetty’s sense of contentment and positive thoughts impress you. Wife of Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, Mana has successfully created her own identity in multiple ways.

She is a fashion designer, owner of a retail store in Mumbai and has also been running an NGO for over two decades. In Delhi to promote Araaish exhibition, a fund-raiser activity, she sounded  excited for a successful bid. “I should thank Delhiites for being so generous. I won’t reveal the funds that we have generated but they are good,” she said. “Apart from fashion brands, NGO Save the Children India also participated in the exhibition. Cushions, covers, gift bags, covers with plain gold gota work, neon bags, designed by the girls of the NGO were on sale,” she said.

Mana is a multitasker, perfectly managing work and home. “Kids are my priority. I am lucky that I have been able to create a team of talented people who help me in dealing with different activities,” she said.

She finds her hubby her biggest supporter. “He is the backbone and brand ambassador of the NGO. I think he was a great son-in-law since my mother, who had started the NGO, always found him in need. Also, my daughter, Atiya Shetty, is 21 now and she wants to take over the NGO,” she said. Mana is excited about her daughter’s debut in movies. “Salman Khan will launch her. They have bought the rights of Subhash Ghai’s Hero. They will start shooting in January.  My son Aahan is in class 12. He still has three to four years to enter into films,” she told us.
