In line with Government of India plan of Digital India, Punjab National Bank has created PNB Digital Village at Village Dudhike, district Moga, Punjab. PNB Digital Village concept envisages adoption and digitalisation of six villages, one each under the command area six field general manager offices viz. Bhopal, Chennai, Kolkata, lucknow, ludhiana and Mumbai. With India vision on digital and banking opportunity with digital offerings aimed to pay back the society, a model is developed for betterment and ease of doing business of villages.
The digital villages will have the following offerings :-
· Connected or wired villages by providing internet connection in the village enable through wifi connectivity.
· Off site e-lobby on 24x7 basis by providing provisions of basic banking like cash deposit, cheque deposit, cash withdrawal, pass book printing an product enquiry.
· less cash society by providing with cards and shops with POS for making all transactions through Cards.
· Assisted services through BCA by providing financial inclusion kiosks with BCA to be introduced for offerings for basic banking like customer acquisition, customer inter action management (both deposits and loans).
