She credits her fitness to a daily cup of tea. She feels that tea time is her own time. “It is lovely and relaxing when you drink a cup of tea and sit. It’s the ahh moment; my time with the chai that I love so much,” she said.

With her ever increasing list of brand endorsements, the actress is attempting to be the glamorous poster girl of Indian household. The dance diva was dressed in a royal blue sari at the launch of Taj Mahal’s new flavour of tea.

A new raga, composed by sitar maestro Niladri Kumar was also unveiled at the evening. The raag, which has been created as a tribute to the Darjeeling tea, matches the superlative taste, that the flavour is expected to offer.

Madhuri’s alliance with classical music is not a new one, owing to her passion for dance. “My association with music is because of my dance. Also, my mom is a classical singer. I have been listening to classical music since I was a kid,” she said

Everything that the actress spoke revolved around tea. “Tea is part of everything that happens in your house. Good bad or the ugly, tea is associated with everything,” she said.

like music, the actress has had a long association with the beverage. “In my mother’s family, tea drinkers are always home, and when they are, the chai never stops. It keeps on flowing all day long,” she said.
