Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power, Government of India has been presented with a certificate of appreciation for valuable contribution in combating COVID-19 pandemic by the district administration of Gurugram. The certificate was presented by Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana to VK Singh, the director (Personnel), POWERGRID at the 75th Independence Day celebration in Gurugram.
POWERGRID had commissioned an oxygen plant for Haryana Government in Gurugram at a cost of `2.88 Crore under its CSR initiative. The plant can cater to 100 COVID patients or fill up 250 jumbo oxygen cylinders per-day.
During the lockdown, due to COVID pandemic, about `1.5 cr worth dry ration and PPE kits were also distributed among the migrant labourers and needy people in Haryana.
