Brushstrokes to go metallic

Pioneer

Creativity on the canvas will challenge limits and go deep into layers and textures, according to predictions

The year has sped past, a tad too quickly during which the art world in all its dimensions has seen some dramatic and not so earth shaking changes. But by itself, art is too large and an all encompassing description. One could sharpen the focus on mosaic art which is an image made from the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials is called mosaic art. It is often used in decorative art or as interior decoration. Most mosaics are made of small, flat, roughly square, pieces of stone or glass of different colors, known as tessera.

There are some trends that are likely to be seen in the coming year according to    https://blog.mozaico.com.

METAllIC ElEMENTS

As an addition to bright and vibrant colors, expect metallic tiles to enter the world of mosaic art and create a “wow” effect. Often combined with other hot trends such as 3D compositions and creative texture, this 2018 trend brings the effect of a real-life composition.

COlOR TRANSITIONS / GRADIENTS

Back in 2016 when Instagram changed its logo into a colorful gradient, nobody thought this trend was going to become so huge!  It was just the commencement of its rise! In 2018 we will be seeing more and more of these colorful gradients, not just in web design but also in mosaic art!

DOUBlE EXPOSURE

Double exposure, another trend that has been a thing for several years now, despite the fact that some artists have put this technique aside for a while, we definitely see a rise of double exposure mosaic designs which is expected to amaze the mosaic community this year.

THE “RUINED” EFFECT

As far as we can tell, contemporary mosaicists have been obsessed with the “art of destroying”. Everything that includes splashing, scratching tiles, negative mediums, breaking or any other form of ruining the aesthetics of a composition is considered modern in 2018.

FUTURISM

Guess whatIJ In 2018, Futuristic mosaic art or “post-human” will continue to be the main meeting point for contemporary mosaic artists. As I explained last year, this trend is inspired by artificial cleverness, to illustrate tech-driven designs and add a new generation of technologies and creative mediums.

These futuristic designs can be defined by otherworldly facets like embossed textures, sophisticated stones, laminated finishes, and glowing lED tiles inside of mesh materials.
