Style diva Sonam Kapoor launched the first Indian bridal fashion week wedding store in Delhi. Unnati Joshi reports
Dressed in a pink and white sari with golden zardozi and floral work, hair tied in a bun, red lips, jhumkas and her favourite winged-style liner, Sonam Kapoor stunned the crowd with her presence. Undoubtedly the style diva of the tinsel town, her wardrobe is a dream must-have for many.
“I am very happy to be in Delhi, it is the hub of the weddings,” she said. She couldn’t complete the sentence and got distracted by a little girl who was trying to click her picture. With the widest smile on her face, she waved to the kid and said ‘Are you gonna get married soonIJ’ and everyone in the store rolled with laughter. Typical Sonam inanities!
“The clothes here are wearable yet beautiful. They are electric enough to fit any taste,” she said, while endorsing the IBFW wedding store.
But, like a shooting star, she came and was gone in the blink of an eye. She walked around the store for few minutes with her bodyguards following her and then for the swansong, she clicked selfies with fans. And in no minute we saw her waving at us from her car. Sonam surely did a lot of posing for the cameras, but only if she would have interacted a bit.
We have no idea how 10 minutes of her will help the brand but Sonam has given us major sari goals. The actress will be next seen in sister Rhea Kapoor’s production with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding.
