Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEl) won five ‘National Safety Awards’ for outstanding achievements in terms of the longest accident free period and lowest accident frequency rate at their works. The awards were received by Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEl from Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for labour & Employment.
In addition, for their innovations, 36 employees of BHEl have bagged eight Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars for the year 2014, among a host of public & private sector companies in the country. Significantly, BHEl and its employees have been winning both these prestigious national awards, consistently, since their inception.
